What does his Valentine's Day gift say about your relationship
From "Be mine" to "Let's be friends", when guys buy gifts for girls, they always have a message. If you are curious, here are some things guys think about when offering you a Valentine's Day gift.
The heart-shaped chocolate box.
What it means: Highschool all over again.
Men usually give chocolate first to their grandmothers and then to theri teachers. When they it to a girl it usually means: Let's be friends!
Parfume
What it means: I want you to be my girlfriend.
There are a lot of deminine cosmetic products a man can chose to give to a girl, and they all are very nice gifts. But nothing says intimacy like a parfume. If a guys offers you a parfume, he wants to have the opportunity to smell you more then once. :) More than that, if he want to smell the parfume on you will have to let him come close.
Sexy lingerie
What it means: Let's spice up things in the bedroom!
Men usually buy sexy underwear for their girlfriends because they want sparks to fly in the bedroom. It's like when you buy somebody a set of knives - you expect them to start cooking. Some men, also find it easier to buy a girl hot lingerie then to tell her about their fantacies.
Diamond earings
What it means: We're going to be engaged.
Nobody buys jewlery with precious stones if they aren't sure they are making a long term comitment or investment.
A big buch of red roses
What it means: I'm trying to make a good impression.
Either he's a real gentelman, or he's just trying to rub you the right way because the slept with you the other night and he doesn't want you to think he's a jerk (which he probably is). Eitherway, a man knows that a the girl who receives roses from him will put them in a vase at her office for everybody to see and ask about them.
A pan or any other practical item
What it means: Break up with me, I'm an idiot!
This does not require any futher explinations in my opinion, :)
Bath and body
What it means: I'm not that good at buying gifts.
This if probably a gift lying around the house, which he inicially bought for his mother. This means he think women are nice and they spell good, and they need magic potions to do that. He's not that bad, but he lack creativity.
A laptop or any other gadgets
What it means: He's a caring, thoughtful guy.
With this gift he's trying to tell you that the think about your needs and give you things you must have around, so that you don't spend money on them. This way he gets you things he's good at picking out, leaving you spend your money on things like sexy underwear (so you can thank him for the gift). If you think of it, it is sort of romantic.
A massage
What it means: I think I'm stressing you out.
He sometimes feels guilty for ther things he does and tries to make up for his mistakes.
Plane tickets
What it means: I'm a romantic.
Nothing says romance like a weekend trip. Guys usually give girls plane tickets when they are in the first stages of a serious relationship.
As you can see men's gifts can me a number of things, but if you're ever unclear about the situation, you can always say (politely): Oh, darling, I just love your gift. How did you decide to buy it? That being mentioned...what did you get for Valentine's Day?
